Dewar's True Scotch 15 Years The Monarch is named after the painter Landseer's masterpiece 'The Monarch of the Glen,' depicting a stag, which Tommy Dewar bought at auction. Made from specially selected single malt and single grain whiskies that are at least 15 years old and have been matured in a variety of oak casks, including sherry and bourbon. Once blended together, they are allowed to 'marry' in vintage oak casks for several months to create an incredibly smooth Scotch with many subtle layers of flavor in perfect harmony. Dewar's, founded by John Dewar in 1846, has been pioneering the art of blending fine, smooth Scotch for generations. With over 500 medals, it is the most awarded blended Scotch in the world and has been a supplier to the Royal household for over 100 years.
